The eyeSMILE Dental team will take x-rays to look in between the teeth in order to find decay which we cannot visibly see. A panoramic x-ray may also be taken to evaluate the development and positioning of permanent teeth and wisdom teeth, assess the jaw joint, evaluate your sinuses, note any cysts or abnormalities, and much more.
Dr. Jones and the hygienist will conduct a comprehensive exam in which they will evaluate each tooth, check the health of the gum tissue, and perform an oral cancer screening. They will also give you your personalized risk assessment printout to take home.
The hygienist will remove plaque and build up from above and below your gum tissue while educating you about your oral health to keep your smile looking its best. Your teeth will be polished and flossed. Fluoride varnish can also be applied to the patient’s teeth for sensitivity and cavity prevention.
