Amy was born and raised in Ellis County. In 2011 she decided to leave a career in banking and switch things up. She jumped into the dental world and hasn’t looked back! Having worked with Dr. Jarrod Jones for 8 years, it was easy to be on board with the Joneses’ dream of eyeSMILE Vision and Dental. Amy worked as a dental assistant and now is the Office Manager of eyeSMILE Dental. While not at the office, you will find her spending time with family, baking, cooking, and enjoying time outside with her dogs.
Our Team
Aubrey was born in Russell but raised in Hays. She is married with a very active son and dog. She has worked in restaurants, retail, and banking in Hays since 1996. Needing a change, she moved into the medical field in 2016 and then the dental field in 2019. She graduated in 2002 from FHSU with a Bachelor of Business Administration and an emphasis in Financial Planning. In her free time, she loves spending time with family, playing games or sports with her son, reading, crafting, and just relaxing. She also loves cooking, baking, sunflowers, and monkeys! Her family loves to cheer on our local sports teams, especially FHSU and the Hays Larks as well as the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, and Kansas Jayhawks.
Jada is one of our registered dental hygienists. She was born and raised in Garden City, KS and graduated from the dental hygiene program at Johnson County Community College in 2017. After graduating she moved to Hays and married her husband, Justin, and they welcomed their first daughter in 2020. Justin and Jada have two little girls, Ella and Ava, and love watching them grow. As a family they love taking their two dogs out hunting, watching hunting shows and sports, jamming out to music, and just enjoying their time outside in God’s creation. Jada joined our EyeSMILE team in 2018 and has enjoyed playing pranks on the rest of our staff over the years. She loves laughing and having fun with her patients while not only teaching them about how to improve their oral health but also how it affects their body systemically.
Leigh Ann Edmonds is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1999 with an Associates in Business. She graduated from Colby Community College in 2002. She has been working with Dr. Jarrod Jones since he started practicing in Hays in 2003. It has led to a great relationship and career for Leigh Ann. Her favorite part of hygiene is working and interacting with her patients where she has enjoyed many laughs, tears, and life achievements. She loves 80’s music so, at times, will serenade her patients whether they like it or not.
She lives in a fun, crazy, blessed household that includes her husband, Casey Edmonds, and 3 children, Georgia, Jett, and Claire. Casey and Leigh Ann met in college at Fort Hays and it has been a fairy tale love story since! She loves to go to concerts from country music (Garth Brooks) to rock (Metallica). Leigh Ann enjoys traveling, four-wheeling, camping, and having lots of family time. She also enjoys a good book and puzzle.
Natalie was born in Colorado and grew up in Ohio and Stockton, KS. She moved to Hays in 2007 where she met her husband, Mathew Bender. They have two beautiful boys together, Mason and Oliver. She is a Certified Paraoptometric and has been with eyeSMILE since 2018. She previously spent 8 years working in banking. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, cooking, and cheering on the Denver Broncos.
Ashley is a Kansas native, born and raised in La Crosse. She discovered her passion for dentistry and completed the dental assisting program at Salina Tech. After graduating, Ashley worked as a dental assistant for three years, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing a strong foundation in patient care before pursuing dental hygiene.
Ashley graduated from the dental hygiene program at Salina Tech in 2024 and began working at eyeSMILE shortly thereafter. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and takes pride in supporting their overall health and confidence through their smiles. Outside of the office, Ashley is a proud wife and mom to two children, Hudson and Collyns, who keep life busy, joyful, and full of energy.
Stacy is originally from Nebraska. She has lived in Kansas since 1993. She has enjoyed a career in dentistry for 30 + years. She and her husband have 2 amazing adult children and 3 amazing grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and going to the lake.
Emily Woydziak (pronounced “woodjack”) is a dental assistant. At the office you’ll typically find her chair side with Dr. J. When not in the operatory you’ll find her causing shenanigans or sneaking snacks in the break room. She has been a part of the eyeSMILE team since 2021. She is a Hays native graduating from Hays High in 2015. HHS is where she met her high school sweetheart, Wade. They got married in October of 2021 and have two beautiful and ornery daughters who keep them laughing. When she is not at work, you’ll find her at home in her comfy clothes baking, reading a book and spending time with family. She will never turn down a crispy Dr. Pepper or a cup of coffee and conversation. She loves getting to know her patients and make them feel comfortable during their visits.
Shaudel Bain has been part of the eyeSMILE team since 2021. As a Vision Therapist, she works with patients of all ages to help them strengthen their visual skills and feel more confident in how they process the world around them.
She was born and raised in Goodland and graduated with a degree in Communications from Fort Hays State University. She is a busy mom of three beautiful children: Ella, Ainsleigh and Liam and a sweet Labradoodle, Avett. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, movie nights with her family, watching the Jayhawks, traveling, and lazy days at the lake. Her family loves Hays and being a part of the FHSU Tiger family!
The most rewarding part of what she does is getting to know her patients and celebrating their progress along the way. She is grateful to be part of their journey at eyeSMILE.
Patricia was born and raised in Great Bend, Kansas. After attending Barton County Community College, she moved to Denver and went to Mountain States Travel School. She worked in the travel industry for 14 years. When she moved to Hays, she met her husband and together they raised two children, a son Shane and a daughter Shayla. In 2012, they lost their son at the age of 21 due to Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Their daughter is married and has three beautiful children. Patricia took several years away from the workforce after working at the school where her oldest child attended. After spending the next 6 years working for a surgery center, she switched things up and found her home at the front desk of eyeSMILE Vision and Dental!
Kenzie was born in Colorado Springs and moved to Kansas at the age of six. After high school, she pursued cosmetology and worked in the field for about six years before transitioning into healthcare. She gained clinical experience in a urology clinic before entering the eyecare industry in 2019. Kenzie became a Certified Paraoptometric in 2022 and continues to grow in this field.
Her husband, Dakota (they met at eyeSMILE!), is a state trooper, and together they have two sons. Both boys are active in sports, especially wrestling, so in the winter you’ll find them at a tournament almost every weekend.
In her free time, Kenzie enjoys running, cooking, taking mini vacations, and watching movies. She is proud to be part of such an amazing team at eyeSMILE!
Kelly was born and raised in Rossville, Kansas. She moved to Hays to attend college at FHSU and graduated with an Associates of General Studies with a Minor in Medical Science. She married her husband, Brendon, in June of 2017. They have two handsome boys, Bennett and Bodie. Her family is active in the cattle industry and Kelly enjoys spending time on the farm with her horses. She joined the eyeSMILE team as a dental assistant in December of 2022. She loves working alongside the amazing staff at eyeSMILE. Helping give patients a great experience and being a part of an awesome team means so much to her!
Lisa is an American Board–Certified Optician at eyeSMILE Vision. She grew up in Sharon Springs, Kansas and later attended Fort Hays State University, where she majored in Psychology. While at FHSU, she was offered a job with a local optometrist and quickly fell in love with the eyecare profession. Twenty-eight years later, she is still grateful to be part of this amazing field!
In June 1999, she married her husband, James. Together they have three wonderful children—Clay, Micah, and Avrianna. When she’s not working, you can often find her at the gym leading HIIT classes, spending time with family, or traveling.
She truly loves being an optician at eyeSMILE helping patients find the perfect pair of glasses or experience the clarity of new contact lenses. She says it is one of the best parts of her job.
Cheyenne was born in Nebraska and raised in Kensington, Kansas. She graduated from Central Community College in 2014 with a degree in dental hygiene. After graduating, she moved to Hays, where she worked at First Care Clinic for over 10 years. Cheyenne is married to her husband, Devon, and together they have three children-DJ, Kai, and Navy. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cheering on her son at sporting events, and spending time outdoors with her family.
Lauren grew up in Ellinwood, KS. Life brought her to Hays years ago. She has one child whom she loves spending any and all of her free time with. She has been working as a dental assistant for several years. EyeSmile welcomed her to the team in 2023 and she could not be more grateful. Between all of her coworkers and the wonderful patients, she truly loves coming to work every day!
Pauletta was born and raised in Hays, KS. In 2006, she went to cosmetology school and obtained her license in 2007. She worked at a salon for five years and then decided to move on to the medical field. She has worked with many different people and gained skills in customer service. In 2017, she married her husband, Skyler. They have two daughters, Adalie and Braylie. She joined the EyeSMILE team in August 2023. She is so honored to be part of this amazing team! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and going fishing. She looks forward to making your time with EyeSMILE an enjoyable one!
